It’s SAM’S FOR PLAY CAFE ! # 1 Burger in sonoma county. For 25 years I’ve been eating there Ortega burger. Fresh meat, ortegas chilies, jack AND cheddar cheese. It’s piled high and juicy. Bun toasted to perfection.

WTH! What about Brodie’s, Burgers and Brews? Grass fed beef, quality burgers and service. My kids and I love to go there. Great onion rings and high quality ale for a buck a pint.

Well my favorite use to be Gayle’s Super Burger, but alas she sold after a couple decades of business and now they just aren’t the same! They aren’t bad, but they over due the meat in the super burger and their bbq sauce just doesn’t compare to Gayle’s (if she left you the receipe, USE IT!). The fries aren’t the same either, Gayle had such a following that all they had to do is step in and keep the great food coming. I have tried them 2x’s now and the cost has gone up $3 – $4 dollars for a king burger and fries, and the flavors and enjoyment have gone down 20% to 30%.

I wish them the best of luck, but my mind enter’s Gayle’s world when I stop by the burger shop I use to ride my bike to in the 70′s, and I just can’t trick it into excepting the changes.

My advise to the New Super Burger, use any reciepe Gayle was kind enough to leave behind or savvy enough to sell; if that is not an option, shrink the king burger down to be a good sized burger that fits on the bun, cause right now there is so much beef it gags and overwhelms anyother possible flavors.,

My favorite place to get a really great burger and fries is at Ozzies in Santa Rosa. Prices and service is great. Once you go and have the burgers you’ll be back. Ozzies is the best burgers in town. My vote goes to Ozzies.

I must add my two cents; I found the best place for good burgers, good fries, and really superb service plus the price is very reasonable in today’s world. This wonderful place is called Healdsburger and is located in the old A & W on Healdsburg Ave in Healdsburg. Check it out!

Amazed that for SR, you don’t have Ausiello’s Bar on 5th (downtown, near mendo), as yer best burger in town!!!! Great Fries as well. Chicken burger, not so much.
Done. That also keeps me from having to drive to sequoia in cotati for a burger fix.
