I have been to the Harvest Fair the past 4 years. This years event was lackluster. No energy, some very good wines. If you ask me it is becoming more biased. Is Dry Creek Vineyards Fume Blanc really the best white wine in the county? come on judges! Nothing against Dry Creek Vineyards they are a good producer. Once again way to many medals awarded. If we want this event to be taken seriously outside the county of Sonoma the judging really needs to be looked at. When almost everything gets a medal it means nothing.

Heh, we were right next to the Adobe Road booth when they won. It was really exciting. We tasted quite a few great wines and some great food. Grampa Moses(?) winery had an awesome cab sauv, as did Tin Barn. J. Rickards had a really nice meritage. My only beef remains the same after going to this event for the last five years: Open a darn window or something! It's a sweatbox in there. I've gone from wearing a full suit and tie the first year to wearing linen and flip flops and I'm still overheated in there.
