First Annual Black Pig Bacon Fest

BiteClub has been taken over by Bacon! (Actually its just a neat app that Wojamo found. Just add http://bacolicio.us/ before any website address and (assuming the site isn’t flash) it will stamp some bacon “flair” on the site.)

…which seemed appropriate considering this event at Zazu Restaurant & Farm on Sunday (sadly, the same day as The Great West End + Railroad Square Handcar Regatta).

Sunday, September 27, come to our first ever (soon to be annual) black pig BACONfest, a 5 course tasting breakfast all about bacon. 9 am – 2 pm.

here’s the salted hog breakfast…
“bacon toast” + johnny’s strawberry jam~
black pig fig + hazelnut french toast, saba~
tender spinach salad w/ fried local oyster + bacon vinaigrette~
“BLT one eyed susan” w/ backyard arugula + white truffle oil~
maple + bacon creme brulee

$37 per person before beverage, gratuity, or tax. Call 707.523.4814 to make your reservation. zazu restaurant + farm

It’s important to note that the incredible Black Pig Bacon mentioned is made by Zazo and Bovolo Chef/Owner John Stewart. You can buy it at Bovolo and Zazu as well as on the blackpigmeatco.com website.
