topcheffers.jpgWARNING: SOME OF YOU SEEM TO THINK THERE IS A SPOILER HERE. I DISAGREE, BUT READ WITH CAUTION IF YOU'RE SENSITIVE ABOUT SUCH THINGS.

Healdsburg is abuzz with the news that Cyrus restaurant was temporarily closed last Thursday and Friday to accommodate Season 6 "Top Chef" contestants staying at the Le Mars Hotel along with Padma and Tom.

No word on exactly what they were doing, but locals said there were television trucks parked around the building and that the Michelin-starred eatery may have been the site of a post-Las Vegas taping.

Several cast members were also reportedly seen at Brix in Yountville last week bussing their own dishes? What's that about...

Atlanta-based finalists Eli Kirshtein and Kevin Gillespie return to Wine Country this Saturday to do some collective back-patting with fellow southerner Hardy Wallace, (Murphy-Goode Winery's dream job winner). The three are old friends who've recently found their 15 minutes of fame in the culinary world. They'll do a meet and greet Sunday, then cook  for local big-wigs on Monday and Tuesday.

Media have been warned, however, that the chefs will not be doing official interviews since the Bravo show still has several episodes left to air before the winner is revealed.

Who's your money on?

As many who are truely fans of "Top Chef" often past contestants are used to aid the finalists. It is very cool that we are finally getting included into the culinary realm for television. Kevin was invited to particiapte in the Pigs and Zins event in Healdsburg as a prize for one winning dsh too, and now a tv crew. Thank you to Doug Keane for the gift of bringing celebrity back to wine country!

Heather...FYI, the Tuesday private event is here at the Relish Culinary Center. Are you attending??

It's not a spoiler -- the photo is illustrating the *second* story, which is "Atlanta-based finalists Eli Kirshtein and Kevin Gillespie return to Wine Country this Saturday ...." Which you would have known if you'd actually read it!

BTW: TC apologized for calling me an idiot. Haha.

This is clearly not a spolier, because it is true that Cyrus was closed (anyone in Healdsburg can attest to that) but it does not say anything about Kevin and/or Eli actually being at that restaurant.
I actually know who went to the finals, and this blog does not imply who those contestants were.
Take it easy, people!

I certainly don't think this was a spoiler. And if Eli has managed to worm his way into the top two, well more power to him. Personally, I am still hoping Jen will get her act together.
No matter what, I will still watch, 'cause the Voltaggio brothers are dreamy, and watching Kevin cook is so much fun! Plus I am waiting for Robin to get kicked off. That will be a relief!

Shows have not aired which means the viewer doesn't know those two are finalists, that makes this a spoiler and makes their picture on the front page a spoiler. There is no grey area there.

"Top Chef finalists close Cyrus?"

I think you wanted to say something closer to
"Top Chef Contestants close Cyrus"

Then play the juicy side of "are these 2 of the finalists?"

did you just call some one an idiot?

Relax, folks. No spoiler here. Kevin has a VERY good chance of being the winner. In fact, I think he and Michael V. are the favorites at this point, but his consistency gives him the edge. But Eli has NO chance. So this local spotting means little. Even if both were in town shooting, it would not mean much. If you've seen previous seasons, you know that recently eliminated chefs are often brought back to sous for the finalists.

Hey TC (& Jimmy) -- Get a clue. How is she ruining the season? I've been watching so far, and there are 6 people left, including these 2 guys. This blog - or any other blog - doesn't say that either of them won. All it says is that two of the finalists, who happen to be buddies with the Murphy-Goode wine blogger guy, will be hanging out in Healdsburg this weekend.

Not sure exactly how there is any information here other than two of the contestants have been in Healdsburg.

But I'll put a spoiler alert at the top for the more sensitive among you.

Sheesh.

WAY TO RUIN THE SEASON. THANKS IDIOT

Heather ... you spoiler.... we still have a couple episodes left....

I swoon. Seem to be missing my invitation . .
