Anthony Bourdain at WFC

bourdain.jpgLocal foodies are falling all over themselves as Le Bourdain rolls
into town for his sold-out show tonight at the Wells Fargo Center.

The bad boy of the food world came onto the scene with his tell-all book, Kitchen Confidential. He’s reached critical mass as the snarky host of No Reservations on the Travel Channel, eating live cobra hearts and tossing off sardonic quips like cigarette butts.
Of which there are also many.

Here’s what I know so far (stay tuned for updates…)

- Bourdain will be signing and audience interfacing after the show for a couple hours, apparently

- He’s not doing any big dinner here in Santa Rosa, according to my sources, although Bovolo will be delivering some piggy goodness backstage

There are assisted listening devices available at the WFC’s box office.

I completely enjoyed Anthony Bourdain’s show but have a problem with the acoustics at the WFC. We were with an elderly lady who was a big fan and could not hear much of what was said. Could the WFC provided the earphones that are so readily available in SF theaters? If they are availble at WFC I could not locate them.

Anthony Bourdain is the real deal! Intelligent, witty, funny, and quick on his feet. It was great spending 2 hours with him! He did rip Guy but we all had to agree.

Aw, I was too slow to jump on a table at Willis for tonight before the show. That’s right, ‘No Reservations’ available until 8pm. How appropriate.
