Atlas Coffee Company: Rock’n Roll Java

coffeedonut.jpgAdd a little metal to your morning.

Because Vivaldi and alt-ironic-post-modern-freak-folk is the last thing you need when waiting in line for your morning jolt.

Half asleep.

Wondering why that high-maintenance loser in front of you had to order a half-caf extra-hot extra-foamy touch-of-cinnamon double espresso when all you wanted was a nice drip coffee.

Put a little kidney-punchin, hair band, hotel-room trashing fun into your day at Atlas Coffee, where the turntable is always turned up to eleven (okay, maybe more like 6.5, but the intention is there) and the java’s always thumpin’.

Behind the counter: Co-owner Jesse Wickman is a certified rocker, who in his free time runs a music studio and the most envied teen camp in SoCo, The Atlas Studios School of Rock. Wickman also happens to be a former barista trainer (so he’s no coffee slouch). Along with fellow rocker Jamie Voss, the two have rehabbed the little coffee shack on Santa Rosa Ave. (near Las Palmas), and are serving up espresso, tea, drip coffee, morning pastries an a side of vintage vinyl in the corner.

jesse2.jpgHappy Hour from 3 to 6pm daily with $1.50 drip coffees.

And musical requests are always happily accepted.

Atlas Coffee: Featuring Ecco and Sunshine Coffee. Open Monday through Friday, 6am to 6pm, Sat/Sun from 7am to 6pm. 435 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa, 544.1516.

Went there yesterday – great place! Best latte I have had in Santa Rosa. Will definately go back – (many times). Really convenient parking is a plus. Loved the old lp’s.

That is AWESOME!!! Pour over cup at a time coffee in Santa Rosa? I thought I had to go to Berkeley or San Francisco for that.

Love love love the coffee. This is how it is supposed to taste…and served with a smile which is appreciated even if you haven’t had your first cup of the day. Parking is plentiful, Atlas has a charming vibe. Authentic, SOHO/SOMA kind of place. Try it, you’ll like it!!!

This is how coffee should be made.
It’s the freshest cup you will get at a cafe in Santa Rosa. No reheated-for-a-half-an-hour, beans-ground-yesterday coffee there!

The best part about Atlas, well of course the custom drip system coffees and teas that rival potpourri are the best part, but aside from that— you can bring in and spin your own vinyl if you like! Super fun for those of us who still own and collect vinyl, vintage or otherwise.
A marriage of coffee and music made in heaven commencing in the old Greyhound Depot. :)
    Congrats, guys! Thumbs way up!
