I have had an amazing morel polenta at the Water Street Bistro in Petaluma - Michelle is an amazing chef, and this is perhaps a little known treasure in Sonoma County dining!

Mosaic's Filet mignon with mushroom is my favorite dish in Sonoma County! (Coffee Encrusted Filet Mignon
sautéed locally grown mushrooms with
madeira & cream, mashed potatoes,
pt. reyes blue cheese infused butter,
chocolate cabernet demi-glace.)

I had some incredible mushrooms marinated in sake at Hana Sushi in Rhonert Park last weekend. The best I have ever tasted!

Rosso has a fantastic mushroom and polenta starter with mascarpone for $10. The mushrooms come in a very rich and complex dark reduction sauce at the bottom, and the polenta comes on top and has a slight crust on it. It was a good sized portion and was enough for lunch for me so it was a great value as well!! I love Rosso!

-Funghi Pizza at Rosso (really yummy w/good mushrooms but too much garlic in my opinion)

-Mushroom pizza at Monti's Rotisserie (really really good w/pesto and its quite large as well)

-Mushroom Pizza at Firewood has the BEST mushrooms on it! They are super amazing. They also have a side dish of marinated mushrooms that is pretty good as well, but doesn't compare to the pizza)

-Miso Soup at Go Fish in St. Helena has tiny mushrooms in it and is the best miso soup I have ever had.

-Mushroom Raviolis at Flavor (deeeeelish!)

-Mushroom Tasting Menu at Martini House in St. Helena

-Mushroom Pizza at The Red Grape in Sonoma (especially if you get it with pesto, its bomb)

Restaurant Eloise in Sebastopol does an egg yolk ravioli with sauteed mushrooms inside, shaved truffles and mint on the outside. Fabulous.

Santi in Geyserville always does amazing things with porcini and chantrelles. Their rabbit pappardelle with porcini last year was amazing!

I haven't been yet this season to see if it's on the menu yet, but Della Santina in Sonoma always has a killer Chanterelle pasta in the fall.

The wild mushroom appetizer at Mosaic in Forestville is hands-down the best treatment of the delectable woodland treats I have ever enjoyed.
